Jerome D. Vener, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Vener, M.D., F.A.C.S.Dr. Vener is Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at both the David Geffen School of Medicine and the USC School of Medicine, one of very few that have academic appointments at two institutions. He graduated medical school in 1977 and entered the Head and Neck Surgery training program at UCLA in 1979. His internship was completed in Internal Medicine giving him the unique ability to master in surgery and also have expertise in dealing with the seriously ill.

Dr. Vener is the founder of Ultimate Laser Associates which was the first of its kind in innovative techniques using the laser for aesthetics, and also utilizing Botox and fillers in the salon setting. He specializes in pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat disorders, snoring and sleep disorders and was the managing partner of one of the first sleep disorder centers named “Sound Sleep” in association with West Hills Hospital.

Dr. Vener also specializes in head and neck surgery encompassing head and neck tumors, facial trauma, and cosmetic and laser surgery of the face. He has extensive experience in the use of lasers for hair reduction, spider veins, pigmented areas of the face and facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Vener was born and raised locally. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School and attended UCLA with a major in Zoology. As an undergraduate, he received the prestigious President Fellow Award from the Department of Internal Medicine at UCLA where he was actively working in the Gastroenterology Laboratory and subsequently in the Endocrinology Laboratory as well.

After completing his medical school training, Dr. Vener went on to complete a year of Internal Medicine at Wadsworth-UCLA Hospital followed by a year of General Surgery at UCLA, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and Wadsworth Veteran’s Hospital. He went on to complete his residency in Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA where he was Chief Resident at UCLA, Harbor General Hospital, and Wadsworth Veteran’s Hospital.

Dr. Vener entered private practice in the West Hills area in 1982. He has been active in the community and is the only physician on record to have served as President of the Medical Staff for 2 terms. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is board certified in Head and Neck Surgery as well as Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He maintains full membership in the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Vener is consistently listed as a specialist most referred to by other physicians.
